Residents of Donetsk Oblast received vegetable seeds

Published 17 April 2026 year, 11:38

Ahead of the spring planting season, as part of the “United Communities” project—implemented by the All-Ukrainian Association of Communities with support from the Agricultural and Rural Development Program (AGRO) and seed companies Bayer, Gowan Seeds, Enza Zaden, and Syngenta—residents of five frontline communities received vegetable seeds free of charge.

The seeds were distributed to residents of Svyatogorsk, Novodonetsk, Cherkasy, and Kramatorsk, as well as to internally displaced persons in the Komarsk community of Donetsk Oblast.

Seeds for carrots, cabbage, lettuce, and radishes were provided to vulnerable groups (displaced persons, families of military personnel, people with disabilities, large and low-income families, and people aged 60 and older).

In total, 800 seed kits were distributed to residents of Donetsk Oblast.

This aid is a vital component in ensuring food security for community residents under martial law. The seeds will enable people to grow their own vegetables.
