The Head of Donetsk region held a working meeting with Ihor Smilianskyi, CEO of Ukrposhta, and Maksym Sutkovyi, Director for the Donetsk and Dnipro regions.
They discussed the operation of postal offices in frontline communities and ensuring residents have access to essential services.
They also addressed the implementation of Ukrposhta’s important medicine delivery program, introduced at the initiative of Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The program is already in operation and continues to expand, helping ensure access to medications regardless of the availability of local pharmacies.
Despite all challenges, Ukrposhta continues to operate in cities and villages across Donetsk region, delivering social payments to residents. In many remote settlements, this is a vital component of sustaining community life. It is not just about delivering letters or parcels — it is about maintaining a state presence where people especially need attention and support.
“I sincerely thank the Ukrposhta team for their dedication and willingness to work alongside our communities. Their work is an example of true service to people and a contribution to our shared resilience.
In addition, during the meeting, Ihor Smilianskyi spoke about plans to create new postage stamps — including commemorative issues dedicated specifically to Donetsk region.
This is an important part of honoring the resistance of our communities and our defenders,” Vadym Filashkin emphasized.
