On June 15, Ukraine celebrated Father's Day - a day for those who carried us on their shoulders, taught us to keep our word, pursue our goals, and not be afraid of difficulties. A father is warm hugs, strong shoulders, unconditional support, and the peace that comes from just one word - dad.
The humanitarian hubs/centers established for residents of the Donetsk region in safe areas of Ukraine joined in the celebration of the holiday.
In the educational hub of the Toretsk community "Alice in the Land of Knowledge" (Irpin), a creative workshop titled "You are the best, dad!" took place, where children lovingly and thoughtfully created original greeting cards in the shape of a tuxedo from colored paper.
In the cultural space of the Toretsk community (Dnipro), a creative artistic event "The Warmth of Dad's Hands" was held, where children learned about the history of the holiday, the important role of a father in the family and society, and shared their thoughts on why they love and appreciate their dads. The main highlight of the event was an exhibition of drawings that young visitors prepared specifically for the holiday, where each drawing is a sincere story conveyed through the language of colors and shapes, made with love, warmth, and pride for their father.
In the social hub "Avdiivka. Free People. It Was, It Will Be" (Uman), a touching workshop for the holiday took place, during which children created festive greeting cards by hand, discussed why the role of a dad is extremely important, and shared warm memories and stories about their fathers. At the end, the children enjoyed a fun movement game and played "Do it like Dad," during which they depicted their favorite dad's activities - at home or at work.
In the educational location of the IDP support center of the Kurakhivska MVA "Sincere Heart" (Dnipro), children created a special gift - a motanka of a Cossack, which symbolizes strength, will, and courage.
At the humanitarian hub of the Ocheretyn community (Kamianske), an event was held where children learned about the history of the holiday, discovered how it is celebrated in different countries around the world, and participated in a workshop "My Dad - My Pride" making surprise gifts for their dads.
In the educational space and centers of humanitarian support for IDPs in the Soledar community "Soledar: The Road Home" (Dnipro, Kyiv), thematic events dedicated to dads - the closest, strongest, and most reliable people in every child's life took place: a session "My Daddy," where children learned about the role of a father in the family, talked about responsibility, love, and respect, watched a presentation, shared their own stories about their dads, and created bright greeting cards; a workshop where they made cards reflecting the warmth of their feelings for their dads, gratitude, tenderness, and pride for their loved ones.
At the humanitarian and cultural hub "Peaceful Heart of Donetsk" of the Myrne SVA (Piatykhatky), a vibrant sports event took place that united families, charged them with energy, and provided unforgettable moments. Participants played fun relays, team competitions, and received a lot of drive, joy, and sincere emotions.
In the IDP support center of the Mariupol district "Heart of the East" (Lviv), a warm and touching event took place, during which children watched a cartoon, recited poems, discussed wise sayings and expressions about dads, painted, and created bright greeting cards for the holiday.
In the IDP support centers "I am Mariupol," delicious workshops for making cakes, pies, and festive tea parties were organized, children shared small greetings, created greeting cards with wishes and sincere words of gratitude.
Father's Day is an opportunity to thank the strongest, the closest, those who are always nearby or in our hearts. And our children did this with love, sincerity, and pride.
