In September, Donetsk Oblast hosted the regional competition for young amateur photographers "My Ukraine!". The event was organized by the Donetsk Regional Center for Technical Creativity of Children and Youth.
This year's contest brought together 375 talented participants from 10 local communities in the region. They presented their creative works in various genres: portraiture, landscape, still life, everyday and genre photography, architecture, reportage photography, microphotography, flora and fauna. Experimental works created with the use of graphic programs, in particular Adobe Photoshop, were also evaluated separately.
The jury noted that this year's works were distinguished by a modern vision, technical complexity and a high level of artistic design. The photos impressed with the sincerity, originality and skill with which children look at the world around them.
The winners and runners-up of the competition received diplomas, and their mentors received certificates for their fruitful work and support of young talents. The best photos from Donetsk Oblast will represent the region at the All-Ukrainian competition in Kyiv in November.
