Generational continuity and unity despite distance — this was the slogan of the event that brought together young people from the Bakhmut and Hoscha communities.
As part of the Side by Side: United Communities project, students from the Bakhmut Vocational and Technical Education Center, located in the village of Goscha, together with students from the Bakhmut community and local youth, honored the memory of the Heroes of Kruty.
The central event of the meeting was an educational quiz developed by specialists from the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory. The young men and women tested their knowledge of the events of January 29, 1918, the day when young volunteers defended Kyiv against the numerous Bolshevik hordes.
We remember the feat of the Krut heroes as an example of incredible courage and self-sacrifice. Today, the youth of Bakhmut, who were forced to leave their homes because of the war, find support in the Hoshcha community. This union proves that together we become stronger, and our shared values are unshakable.
Such events educate conscious citizens who clearly understand that memory is also a weapon.
Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!
