Young people from Donetsk region took part in a motivational meeting ahead of Ukrainian Volunteer Day

Published 13 March 2026 year, 10:29

On March 12, 2026, a motivational online meeting of student self-government leaders dedicated to Ukrainian Volunteer Day was held, with the participation of the Donetsk Regional Council of Student Self-Government Leaders. The event brought together students from different regions of Ukraine, creating a space for young people to communicate with people whose life experience is connected with serving the state, civic responsibility, and the volunteer movement.

During the meeting, Mykhailo Murashkin, an officer of the Information Security Department of the Main Communications Directorate of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, volunteer, IT and media manager, shared his own story of development, as well as his vision of the future and plans for a free Ukraine.

Ukrainian journalist, photojournalist, and activist Stanislav Kozlyuk, recipient of the Order of Merit, III degree, focused on the role of concerned citizens in social change. The evolution of the Ukrainian army was highlighted separately — from the difficult early years of the war to its current strength and professionalism.

The speech by Yulia Piskova and Valery Piskov, parents of the fallen Hero of Ukraine Ruslan Piskov ("Varyag"), made a deep emotional impression. Remembering their son, they spoke about the most important thing: Ukraine is our root and our home. We must hold on to our land, defend it, and create a future we can be proud of.

Ukraine's strength lies in its people, who do not stand aside. It is thanks to volunteers, concerned citizens, and conscious youth that our state continues to resist Russian aggression, develop, and move confidently toward victory.
