To mark Defenders of Ukraine Day, the Department of Family, Youth, and Public Events for National-Patriotic Education of the Regional State Administration, in collaboration with the Donetsk Regional Youth Congress, launched a regional campaign titled “Thank You from the Heart.” The main goal of this initiative is to express sincere gratitude, deep respect, and unwavering support for Ukrainian soldiers who fight every day for the freedom and independence of our homeland.
Not a single local community in Donetsk Oblast remained on the sidelines of this heartwarming initiative, demonstrating incredible solidarity and unity. Youth workers, representatives of youth councils, members of the Regional Youth Congress, as well as schoolchildren, college students, and active young people from all corners of the region took part in creating and delivering these symbolic souvenirs and gifts.
The participants in the event crafted unique amulets with their own hands, infusing each one with warmth, care, and unwavering faith in Victory. Each of these items became a symbol of deep respect and sincere, prayerful protection for our soldiers. The handmade souvenirs and amulets were delivered directly to Ukraine’s defenders in frontline communities and in military hospitals during their rehabilitation, and were also sent to the front lines via trusted volunteers.
Such large-scale and sincere involvement by the youth of Donetsk Oblast proves once again that our young people are a strong and reliable support system for Ukraine’s heroes, always ready to support with love and gratitude those who defend our future.
