On July 10-11, a two-day practical advocacy training for active youth of Donetsk region was held in Kropyvnytskyi, organized by the public organization "Nova Druzhkivka" together with the Youth Council under the Donetsk Regional State Administration within the framework of the project "Code of Restoration: Youth Dimension of Donetsk Region". The event brought together young people who, due to the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, were forced to relocate, but continue to take an active part in the life of their native region and planning its restoration.
Over the course of two days, participants mastered the tools of effective interaction with state authorities and local self-government bodies, learned how to properly form advocacy campaigns, attract media resources and international partners to implement their own initiatives. During the training, special attention was paid to the development of step-by-step action plans to solve the urgent problems of the youth of Donetsk region under martial law and to consolidate efforts around common goals. The result of the work was ready-made project cases that youth leaders plan to implement in their communities.
Such events demonstrate a high level of cohesion and civil responsibility of our younger generation, despite all the challenges of today. Following the training, all participants received certificates of successful training. The next step for young leaders will be the practical implementation of the developed plans and the presentation of their initiatives in communities.
