On May 12, 2026, a briefing was held by Ulyana Tokareva, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, regarding the results of the 2026 project competition aimed at strengthening Ukrainian national and civic identity.
Lilia Zolkina, Head of the Department of Family, Youth, and Mass Events for National-Patriotic Education at the Regional State Administration, and relevant specialists from the department participated in the event.
During the briefing, the unique features of this year’s competitive selection process were highlighted, and attention was focused on the projects that received state support. The initiatives that received funding cover a wide range of areas: from national-patriotic education and the preservation of historical memory to the development of civic competencies and volunteerism.
Thanks to the implementation of these initiatives, young people in the Donetsk region will have the opportunity to participate in nationwide educational programs, training sessions, and cultural events that will foster a deeper understanding of national identity and the consolidation of society.
The joint efforts of government agencies and the civil society sector enable the creation of effective tools for integrating the region’s youth into national processes and fostering a generation of conscious citizens capable of rebuilding Ukraine’s future.
