As part of the “EDYN Connect” project, EDYN Ukraine is conducting an online survey on social cohesion among young people. Young people and professionals who work with youth are invited to participate in the survey to better understand what helps build social connections and youth communities, what barriers hinder networking, and what opportunities for interaction are currently lacking.
Young people are an important part of public life, but opportunities to meet others, interact, and launch joint initiatives vary depending on region, environment, and access to relevant resources. Understanding what helps young people find like-minded peers and what hinders the formation of new connections is essential for developing effective approaches to working with youth communities.
That is why the “EDYN Connect” project team aims to explore not only the experiences of young people but also the perspectives of professionals who work with youth communities on a daily basis.
The research will help determine:
- what helps young people find like-minded peers and build new social connections;
- what hinders interaction and networking;
- what communication formats and opportunities for youth interaction are lacking;
- what needs youth communities have;
- what tools can help foster networking.
The results of the study will form the basis of a mini-guide on networking. It will bring together practical tools, interaction formats, and examples of their application that can be used when working with youth communities.
As part of the project, a network of 15 facilitators and trainers who already have experience working with youth communities will also be activated. They will strengthen their skills and work with young people at the regional level.
Youth teams will hold local events in five regions of Ukraine aimed at community development, building horizontal connections, networking, and engaging young people in community life.
The project will culminate in a national conference that will bring together youth leaders, experts, and partners to present the results of the research, a mini-guide, and successful regional practices, as well as to identify future directions for the development of youth communities.
Young people in Ukraine and abroad, as well as professionals working with youth, are invited to participate in the survey. Completing the questionnaire will take approximately 5–7 minutes.
