Young people from three communities came together at a meeting titled “Youth Bridge: Spaces and Councils of Donetsk Oblast”

Published 25 June 2026 year, 14:04

The online meeting “Youth Bridge: Spaces and Councils of Donetsk Oblast” brought together representatives of youth spaces and youth councils from the Velykonovosilkovka, Hrodivka, and Kurakhiv communities.

The meeting was organized by the Department of Culture, Family, Youth, and Sports of the Velykonovosilkovka Settlement Military Administration.

During the event, participants presented the activities of their youth councils and spaces, shared best practices for implementing youth, volunteer, patriotic, and civic initiatives, and discussed the current challenges facing young people in Donetsk Oblast today.

Particular attention was paid to the development of youth self-governance, engaging young people in civic activities, supporting youth in displacement situations, and creating opportunities for self-fulfillment. Participants learned about the experiences of youth spaces in various communities and developed new ideas for future collaboration.

Such gatherings are crucial for fostering an active youth community, developing partnerships between communities, and strengthening social cohesion. Amid the war, they help young people stay active, maintain ties with their home communities, share experiences, and work together to implement initiatives that benefit society.

The Youth Bridge has once again demonstrated that today’s youth in Donetsk Oblast are ready to take responsibility for the future of their communities, create new opportunities for development, and serve as a driving force for positive change.
