As part of the celebration of Youth Day on August 12, 2025, communities in Donetsk Oblast joined a large-scale event - the Community Day "Youth Knows How!". This interactive event is a part of the All-Ukrainian mental health program "Are You OK?" initiated by First Lady Olena Zelenska.

Specialists from hospitals, resilience centers and clinical psychologists from YaMariupol centers conducted a series of trainings for young people in Donetsk Oblast. These events took place at IDP hubs and in local communities. During the trainings, participants learned self-regulation and effective communication techniques. In total, over 1500 residents of Donetsk Oblast were reached by these events.

The main goal of such events is to support and strengthen the mental health of young people, especially in the context of a full-scale war. The event united young people around important topics:

Self-care and mutual support: participants shared their experiences and received tools to develop emotional resilience.

Space for communication: young people had the opportunity to meet new people, get support and feel that they are not alone with their experiences.

Information and activities: the program included open dialogues with psychologists, creative activities and other practices that help reduce stress.

The event also aimed to promote a responsible attitude to the psychological state, as it shows that it is normal to talk about mental health and seek help.

The event was organized with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and the Coordination Center for Mental Health of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. It was attended by young people from different communities, including IDPs and people with disabilities, as well as representatives of NGOs and local governments.
