Participant of the Regional Competition "Young Person of the Year – 2025" in the Nomination "Youth Worker of the Year" Nazar Rednikin

Nazar Rednikin isn't just a physical education teacher; he's a true beacon of hope and inspiration for children, especially during challenging times.

Nazar was born in Sloviansk in 1993. From a young age, he chose a path in sports. He attended Secondary School No. 7 in Sloviansk and later the Kharkiv Regional Higher School of Physical Culture and Sports, specializing in biathlon. This choice strengthened his character, teaching him discipline and the drive to win, which became the foundation for his future pedagogical career.

After earning his degree as an instructor-methodologist in physical culture and sports in 2012, Nazar returned to his native Sloviansk. In 2015, he further qualified as a physical education teacher and organizer of sports and mass events at Donbas State Pedagogical University.

From his first steps at Cherkaska Secondary School No. 2 in Sloviansk district, and later at Oleksandrivska Secondary School of Cherkaska Village Council, this young teacher transformed ordinary physical education lessons into an exciting journey into the world of sports. Students immediately felt his sincerity and energy, and soon school gyms filled with children's laughter and the thrill of competition.

Nazar actively involved his students in district and regional competitions, as well as the military-patriotic game "Sokil" ("Dzhura"). Along with like-minded colleagues, he joined the "Healthy Schools: for healthy and joyful schoolchildren" project. As part of this initiative, a meeting was organized for students with Ksenia Darchuk, a judoka and bronze medalist at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games in Singapore. This was more than just a meeting; it was a spark of inspiration, a living example that dreams are achievable with effort. Children trained alongside the Olympian, and the fire of self-belief burned in their eyes.

In 2018, life circumstances forced Nazar to temporarily step away from his beloved work. With the start of the full-scale invasion, like thousands of Ukrainians, he lost his job and had to temporarily leave his native Donetsk region. Moving to Khmelnytskyi region, Nazar remained true to his calling and returned to school. While working at Zhyschynetskyi Lyceum of Horodok City Council, he not only taught children but also became a guide for them to the world of Eastern Ukraine, with its unique culture and sporting achievements. In doing so, he firmly united our country into an indivisible whole.

But his heart called him home. In 2023, he returned to his native Sloviansk and once again became part of the school family at Oleksandrivskyi Lyceum of Cherkaska Village Council.

Today, despite all the difficulties, air raid sirens, and shelling, Nazar Rednikin continues his mission, holding the educational front in Donetsk region. He implements the All-Ukrainian project "Shoulder-to-Shoulder All-Ukrainian School Games," engages children in regional sports and patriotic flash mobs and competitions, participates in European sports initiatives, educates future defenders through the All-Ukrainian Children and Youth Military-Patriotic Game “Sokil” (“Dzhura”), and involves his students in scientific conferences.

The teacher's dedicated work has been recognized with commendations and certificates for promoting sports, for high professionalism, for a significant contribution to youth development, for fostering a healthy lifestyle, and for raising a worthy generation. But his main reward is the trust and respect of his students.

Nazar Rednikin is a person who lives and works by the call of his heart. He inspires children not only to achieve sporting victories but also teaches them to believe in themselves and in the future of Ukraine.
