Participant in the regional “Young Person of the Year 2026” contest “Impulse for Youth Initiatives” category Alina Grygorenko
Alina Grygorenko is a youth representative from the Mariupol District on the Donetsk Oblast Youth Council who, following her forced evacuation, not only continued her studies but also dedicated herself to supporting internally displaced persons and developing youth initiatives. Having earned a bachelor’s degree in hydraulic engineering, she combines professional development with active civic engagement.
As an administrator at the “YaMariupol” center in Dnipro, Alina helps displaced persons access humanitarian aid, social services, counseling, and support, facilitating their adaptation to new living conditions. To ensure high-quality work with people, she has completed more than 15 specialized programs in crisis response, psychological support, community development, and public administration.
As a member of the Donetsk Oblast Youth Council, Alina represents the interests of young people from the temporarily occupied territories, works to develop youth policy, preserve Ukrainian identity, and support internally displaced youth. She actively participates in cultural, educational, and civic initiatives, promotes the history and traditions of the Mariupol community, and demonstrates that the youth of Donetsk Oblast are a driving force for positive change, capable of uniting people and working for the future of Ukraine.
