Аlina Sukhomlin, a participant in the regional “Young Person of the Year – 2026” competition in the “Energy of Care and Support” category
Alina Sukhomlin was born in Druzhkivka, Donetsk Oblast. After graduating from high school, she moved to Kyiv, where she joined the volunteer movement. Her desire to systematically support the Ukrainian military has evolved into an ongoing effort that Alina has been engaged in for 11 years.
The main focus of her work is direct communication with military units, identifying their needs, and organizing fundraisers. This year alone, the volunteer has facilitated the purchase of equipment and supplies worth over 1.3 million hryvnias. She regularly sends drones, FPV drones, radios, antennas, generators, charging stations, and tactical medical supplies to the front lines.
Alina regularly travels to the east, visiting frontline cities. She has supplied a military hospital with medical supplies, collaborated with children’s institutions, and supports the “White Angel” police evacuation unit.
Despite losing her own home when it was hit by an enemy missile in May 2025, Alina continues to volunteer, balancing trips to the front lines with her work and raising her son.
