Andriy Kubran, a participant in the regional “Young Person of the Year – 2026” competition in the “Guardian of Resilience” category
In the nomination "Guardians of Resilience" of the regional competition "Young Person of the Year – 2026," Donetsk Oblast is represented by Andrii Kubran, a gas equipment maintenance and repair technician at the Sloviansk Gas Supply Department of JSC Donetskoblgaz.
Since 2022, he has been responsible for the technical inspection and maintenance of gas distribution systems, checking gas metering units, monitoring the integrity of gas networks, sealing and unsealing gas equipment, and servicing gas pressure regulation stations and boiler house equipment that provide heating to critical and social infrastructure facilities.
During the full-scale war, Andrii has been carrying out his duties in the frontline communities of Sloviansk, Lyman, Mykolaivka, and the Cherkaska settlement community of Kramatorsk District. He participates in emergency inspections and the restoration of damaged gas networks following enemy attacks, promptly localizes emergency situations, and helps prevent large-scale accidents at gas pressure regulation facilities.
Despite the constant danger, Andrii performs his duties with dedication, professionalism, responsibility, and resilience. His colleagues highly value him as a reliable specialist who is always ready to support his team and ensure the uninterrupted operation of Donetsk Oblast's critical infrastructure.
