Participant of the Donetsk Regional Competition "Young Person of the Year – 2026" Nomination: "The Energy of Care and Support"
In the "The Energy of Care and Support" nomination of the regional competition "Young Person of the Year – 2026," the Donetsk region is represented by Anna Kyrkach - a volunteer and psychologist dedicated to supporting military personnel, veterans, internally displaced people, and residents of Donetsk region affected by the war.
Anna was born in the village of Drobysheve, Lyman community. After the full-scale invasion began, she was forced to leave her hometown but remained deeply connected to her native land. Volunteering became her way of supporting fellow residents and the defenders of Ukraine.
Together with volunteers and local communities, Anna organizes fundraising campaigns to provide modern equipment and supplies for Ukrainian service members, supports children in the liberated Lyman community, and actively participates in humanitarian initiatives for people facing difficult life circumstances.
As a qualified psychologist, she provides professional psychological support to military personnel, veterans, internally displaced persons, and civilians who have experienced the trauma of war and the loss of their homes. For Anna, helping others is not simply volunteer work- it is a lifelong mission. Her dedication, compassion, and resilience reflect the true spirit of Donetsk region and Ukraine.
