Daria Goncharova, a participant in the regional “Young Person of the Year – 2026” competition in the “Knowledge Leaders” category
Daria Goncharova was born in Pokrovsk, Donetsk Oblast. She received her education at the Krasnoarmiysk Pedagogical College and the Donbas State Pedagogical University, where she earned a degree in elementary school teaching and computer science. She currently works as an elementary school teacher at Kurakhiv Central General Secondary School No. 5.
In her teaching practice, Daria is guided by the principles of child-centered learning and equal opportunities. To ensure effective learning, she incorporates elements of eidetic imagery and mnemonics-such as mnemonic tables and association maps-which help children develop their memory, attention, and imaginative thinking without relying on rote memorization.
During distance learning, she actively uses interactive online services and her own teaching materials. She has adapted the learning process to maintain contact with first-graders and younger students located in various parts of Ukraine and abroad. In her classes, Daria creates an environment that fosters civic awareness, psychological resilience, and the ability to learn from one’s own mistakes.
Daria Goncharova’s students are active participants and winners of city, regional, and national competitions, while the teacher herself participates in professional competitions-including “Teacher of the Year”-and conducts workshops for her colleagues.
