Beginning September 1, applications for the Own Business state grant program will be accepted under updated conditions. The changes are designed to make financial support for entrepreneurs more flexible, accessible, and focused not only on launching new businesses but also on expanding and scaling existing ones. The updated model introduces higher maximum grant amounts, a system of additional bonuses, and simplified requirements for program participants.
One of the key changes is the introduction of two support tracks. For individuals starting a new business, the base grant amount will range from UAH 100,000 to UAH 300,000, with the possibility of increasing to UAH 500,000 through program bonuses. For entrepreneurs planning to expand an existing business, grants will range from UAH 500,000 to UAH 1.5 million, with the potential to increase funding to UAH 2.5 million.
The range of eligible expenses has also been expanded. Grant funds may be used to purchase equipment, renovate and equip business premises, support business digitalization, finance marketing and promotional activities, expand production, and cover other expenses necessary for implementing a business project.
The Own Business state grant program remains one of the most effective tools for supporting small and medium-sized enterprises. The new conditions provide greater opportunities both for aspiring entrepreneurs launching their first business and for established business owners ready to scale their operations, create new jobs, and contribute to the economic development of their communities.
