In the nomination "Guardians of Resilience" of the regional competition "Young Person of the Year - 2026," Donetsk Oblast is represented by Yelyzaveta Shcherbyna, a software engineer at a critical infrastructure enterprise in Donetsk Oblast.
Yelyzaveta began her professional career in the service industry, where she developed strong communication skills, responsibility, and the ability to solve unexpected challenges. Her desire to contribute more to society led her to join a heat supply enterprise that provides essential services to the population.
Today, she works as a software engineer, coordinates military registration processes, and manages key internal operations. During wartime, her work requires exceptional accuracy, responsibility, and efficiency, as the enterprise's stable operation is essential for providing uninterrupted heating and supporting critical infrastructure.
Yelyzaveta believes that resilience is demonstrated through daily dedication, a willingness to take responsibility, support colleagues, and ensure stability even in the most difficult circumstances. She continues to develop professionally and is convinced that commitment, responsibility, and genuine care for people are the foundation of Ukraine's strong future.
