Participant of the regional competition "Young Person of the Year - 2026" in the nomination "Pulse of Life" Ihor Bohdan
Ihor Bohdan is from the village of Sartana near Mariupol. He began his path in medicine in 2014, graduating with honors from Berdyansk Medical College. He gained experience in intensive care at Mariupol Hospital No. 1, Zaporizhzhia Infectious Diseases Hospital and the penitentiary medicine system. Later, he earned a degree in pediatric anesthesiology at Zaporizhzhia Medical University and worked at Mariupol City Hospital No. 4 named after I.K. Matsuk.
Igor met a full-scale invasion at his workplace. Until the end of March 2022, under constant shelling, he and his colleagues provided assistance to patients in Mariupol.
After the evacuation, he headed the medical units of the Health Care Center of the State Committee for Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions, combining this with clinical practice. In 2022, he received a specialization in health care management, and is currently studying public administration.
Since February 2026, he has held the position of medical director of the Mariupol City Hospital No. 4 named after I.K. Matsuk, working on the development of the institution in relocation.
In parallel, he is engaged in public activities: he heads the IDP Council of the Sartan community and is a member of the IDP councils of the Mariupol district and the Dnipropetrovsk OVA, protecting the interests of displaced persons.
