The vacation for children from the Mykolaiv community in the Carpathian region is taking place as part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities.”
Every day brings new experiences, interesting encounters, and unforgettable moments. Every day, the children walk over 20,000 steps, discovering the picturesque corners of the Kolomyia region.
This time, they visited St. Nicholas’s residence in the village of Hrushev, where they were greeted with a warm and hospitable welcome. They also visited a goat farm, where they learned about the cheese-making process and tasted products available at the “Stefayno” chain of stores. The children also climbed to the “Triangle” viewpoint (Mount Yuriyiv), which offers a breathtaking view of Kolomyia.
On August 4, 2026, a packed cultural day was organized for the children. They went on a tour of the Kolomyia Philharmonic, where they had the unique opportunity to attend an orchestra rehearsal and get a closer look at the world of music. After lunch, the children visited the public library, where they participated in the interactive “Kolomyia QWIZ” quiz. The participants received certificates for their active participation and excellent knowledge. To wrap up the day, they watched the feature film “Khreshchatyk, 48/2,” which provided new experiences and served as a wonderful conclusion to the eventful program.
