Lyubov Solomenna, a participant in the regional “Young Person of the Year – 2026” competition in the “Power of Management Decisions” category, embodies a new generation of Ukrainian public servants—creative, resilient, and dedicated to their community.
As the chief specialist of the Department of Culture, Youth, and Sports at the Novohrodivka City Council, Lyubov is also a co-founder of the local Youth Council and an advisor on gender issues to the head of the City Administration. Her work consists of real-world projects that transform the lives of young people. She is a co-organizer and host of the “Hear the Hero” project, which has engaged over 3,500 young people in dialogue with Ukraine’s defenders.
Lyubov develops unique initiatives: the quest game “Donetsk Region Is in Your Hands” (supported by UNICEF), the “Journey Through Ukraine” project, and the “Vilno UA” Language Club. By combining public service with volunteer work and poetic creativity, she creates a space where everyone feels supported.
The leader’s significant contribution has been recognized with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Donetsk Regional State Administration.
