Valentyna Romanukha suffered fatal injuries on March 21, 2024, during a Russian attack on the town of Novohrodivka. Her common-law husband, Mykola, was also killed in the strike.
Valentyna was 66 years old. She was born in the city of Kadiivka, Luhansk region. For many years, she worked as a heat process engineer at the Kotliarevska Mine. She later served as the director of the stadium in Novohrodivka. Valentyna had no children, and her parents and brother had passed away.
"She was always full of energy and enthusiasm. It seemed that Valya never got tired and always looked at life with optimism, even in the most difficult times," her neighbors recalled.
Valentyna Romanukha was laid to rest in Novohrodivka.
