Oleksandr Levchenko, a participant in the regional “Young Person of the Year 2026” competition in the “Youth Initiatives” category
Oleksandr Levchenko is a youth leader, deputy chair of the Youth Council under the Donetsk Regional State Administration, and deputy chair of the Mirnograd Youth Council.
Since 2023, Oleksandr has been actively working to develop youth policy, the volunteer movement, and civic engagement among young people in the Donetsk region. He co-organized the projects “Youth of Donetsk Region: Volunteer Wave,” “Code of Donetsk Region,” and “Code of Recovery: The Youth Dimension of Donetsk Region,” and led the environmental initiative “Flowers of Donetsk Region’s Future,” which brought together over a hundred young people from the region.
Oleksandr participates in the development of strategic youth policy documents, represents the interests of Donetsk region’s youth at the national level, and organizes trainings, focus groups, and educational events for youth councils and internally displaced youth. As a delegate to the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine, he contributes to shaping a vision for community recovery that takes into account the needs of the younger generation.
His work exemplifies responsible youth leadership that unites young people, strengthens their voice in decision-making processes, and creates new opportunities for the development of the Donetsk region.
