Oleksii Lisenko, a participant in the regional “Young Person of the Year – 2026” competition in the “Knowledge Leaders” category
Oleksii Lisenko is a graduate of the Mangush powerlifting school and an example of a young athlete who, despite the challenges of war, continues to confidently pursue new sporting achievements.
From an early age, Oleksii stood out for his hard work, discipline, and determination. Under the guidance of Honored Coach of Ukraine Ivan Zbandut, he became a three-time Ukrainian champion among youth athletes and later successfully represented Ukraine on the international stage.
In 2023, the athlete won a bronze medal at the European Junior Championships, achieving a total of 812.5 kg in the powerlifting three-lift total. The following year, Oleksii became European Champion in equipped bench press among juniors in the up-to-120 kg weight category, lifting 260 kg.
In 2025, he once again demonstrated his high level of performance, becoming Ukrainian champion in powerlifting with a total of 922.5 kg.
Through his victories, Oleksii proudly represents the Mangush community and Donetsk region, demonstrating strength of character, endurance, and the resilience of Ukrainian youth. His story proves that even in the most difficult times, dedication and hard work can help achieve the highest goals.
