Olha Skidanenko, a participant in the regional “Young Person of the Year – 2026” competition in the “Knowledge Leaders” category
Olha Skydanenko is an English teacher at Novodonetske Secondary School No. 16, Deputy Principal for Educational and Extracurricular Activities, and Deputy Chair of the Youth Council under the Novodonetske Settlement Council.
In her work, Olha combines teaching expertise, leadership and active civic engagement. She uses modern educational technologies, interactive methods, digital tools and project-based learning to help students develop critical thinking, communication and leadership skills. Her students have become winners and prize-winners of academic competitions, language contests, creative festivals, research projects and civic initiatives.
As Deputy Principal for Educational and Extracurricular Activities, Olha coordinates national-patriotic, volunteer, cultural and educational, career guidance and charitable projects. A special place among them is occupied by the “Stories of the Brave” project, which focuses on preserving the memory of Ukrainian courage, fostering respect for Ukraine’s defenders and strengthening young people’s national identity.
At the same time, Olha actively contributes to the development of youth policy in her community, supports volunteer and social initiatives, and encourages young people to participate in civic life.
Her life motto is “Educate, Inspire, Take Action.” These words best reflect her daily work for the development of young people and the future of Ukraine.
