Valery Yevsyukov, a participant in the regional “Young Person of the Year – 2026” competition in the “Power of Management Decisions” category
Valery Yevsyukov is a manager, community leader, and volunteer from Avdiivka who successfully combines his professional work with community development and support for residents of the Donetsk region amid the war. After working at the Avdiivka Coke Plant and earning a degree in public administration, he dedicated his expertise to organizing effective humanitarian aid and developing local self-government.
When the full-scale invasion began, Valery remained at the plant, ensuring the safe suspension of production, and later led the large-scale efforts of a civic organization that refocused its efforts on supporting communities near the front lines. Under his leadership, dozens of humanitarian projects were implemented, and the delivery of food, essential supplies, alternative food sources, and aid to residents of settlements near the front lines was organized. The team also provided support to internally displaced persons and humanitarian hubs.
Today, Valerii works as a chief specialist for the Avdiivka City Military Administration, where he helps address issues related to economic development, humanitarian aid, logistics, and community recovery. He has also participated in the construction of fortifications and completed training in national resistance.
For his professionalism, active civic engagement, and significant contribution to supporting the community, Valery Yevsyukov was awarded the “For Merit to the Community” award, and the team he leads received an award from the Donetsk Regional State Administration for volunteer work. His example demonstrates effective leadership, responsibility, and the ability to make important management decisions even under the most challenging conditions.
