Vladislav Yefremov, a participant in the regional “Young Person of the Year – 2026” contest in the “Energy of Care and Support” category
Vladislav Yefremov is a community leader from the Druzhkivka community who, after being forced to relocate to Odesa, dedicated himself to supporting internally displaced persons and developing volunteer initiatives. In 2022, he founded the “One Step Closer” charitable foundation, which has become a hub for aid, social support, and solidarity among people affected by the war.
On Vladislav’s initiative, the Center for Social Support of Internally Displaced Persons from the Druzhkivka community in Odesa was established, serving as a place of assistance and unity for nearly a thousand displaced persons. There, they receive humanitarian, social, and psychological support, counseling, and the opportunity to remain part of their community.
Under his leadership, the foundation’s team has implemented over 150 social and humanitarian projects, held more than 1,700 charitable events, distributed over 30,000 units of humanitarian aid, and provided food packages to thousands of families.
In addition to his charitable work, Vladislav serves as deputy chair of the Council on Internally Displaced Persons at the Odesa City Council, where he works to improve support programs for IDPs and develop community initiatives. His work exemplifies responsible leadership, compassion, and a daily commitment to caring for those who need support the most.
