From May 25 to 29, 2025, the team of the Youth Council under the Avdiivka Military Administration, together with other youth representatives of the Donetsk region, participated in the “ENABLE” Youth Council Strengthening Program. The event was organized by the United Nations Development Program in Ukraine within the framework of the EU-UNDP flagship partnership “EU4Recovery – Empowering Communities in Ukraine” with co-financing from the Government of Denmark.
The first stage of the Program — a training intensive — took place in the city of Uzhhorod. It was attended by teams of youth councils from Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson regions, as well as representatives of youth from Donetsk and Luhansk regions, who are currently forced to stay in other regions of Ukraine.
Donetsk region was represented in the Program by activists of the Youth Council from Avdiivka — Kyrylo Panasenko, Polina Kumachova and Anastasia Ivanenko. The team presented its own initiative called “Community 3:0”, aimed at increasing the friendliness of the youth council, finding new forms of work and effective partnerships.
Participation in the “ENABLE” Program became a step for representatives of the Donetsk region on the path to the development of youth self-government, strengthening interregional cooperation and implementing projects that contribute to the involvement of youth in decision-making processes in communities.
