A three-day training for youth councils from all over Ukraine was held in Ternopil, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine together with partners. Representatives of youth councils of Donetsk region, in particular Mariupol region, also joined the event.
During the three days, participants worked on important topics:
- the role of youth councils in 2025
- influence on decision-making
- advocacy and partnerships
- development of effective strategies
The training format included dialogue sessions, team tasks and role-playing games. This helped not only to exchange experiences, but also to jointly develop new ideas for the development of youth councils in different regions.
The result was enhanced knowledge and practical skills, ready-made development strategies, as well as new partnerships between young leaders from different parts of Ukraine.
Important expert support was provided by representatives of the NGO "Youth Platform", who shared their experience and motivated participants to further changes in their communities.

🤝 Participation of youth councils of Donetsk region in such events is another step towards strengthening their role in decision-making at the local level and the development of youth policy in the region.
