Andriy Chastov, deputy chairman of the Pokrovsk Youth Council, became Donetsk Oblast's representative on the National Children and Youth Council, joining in the formation of modern state policy, where the voice of young people carries weight.
A meeting was held between the leadership of the Ukrainian government and the National Consultative Children and Youth Council. The format of the discussion was based on partnership and departed from traditional approaches, making the dialogue open and equal.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko, Deputy Prime Minister Taras Kachka, Presidential Advisor on Children's Rights Daria Gerasymchuk, and ministers responsible for key areas of the country's development. They emphasized the importance of involving young people in decisions that directly affect their lives and the future of Ukraine.
Among the main topics raised by young people were the safety of teenagers, countering recruitment attempts by Russian special services, combating bullying in schools, developing psychological support programs, and ensuring equal opportunities for children and young people. Discussions with the ministers of internal affairs, education and science, health, and the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine provided a platform for specific proposals and decisions.
