How can we create a safe educational environment for young people, take into account their experiences of past crises and traumatic events, and at the same time maintain our own resilience? This is exactly what we’ll be discussing during a three-day specialized training session for youth workers in the Donetsk region.

Prerequisite: You must be a graduate of the basic-level training sessions of the “Youth Worker” program.
During the training, participants will:
✔️ explore the role of youth work in the context of human rights and a trauma-informed approach;
✔️ learn about trauma-informed youth work practices in Ukraine and abroad;
✔️ master self-regulation and support techniques for their professional practice;
✔️ learn how to plan and conduct educational and awareness-raising events using a trauma-informed approach;
✔️ share experiences and expand their professional network.
Three days of training, hands-on experience, and professional exchange to better understand the needs of young people and create spaces where they can safely learn, interact, and grow.
The “Youth Worker” program is implemented by the All-Ukrainian Youth Center and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program in Ukraine.
The training was organized by the Donetsk Regional Youth Center in collaboration with the Department of Family, Youth, and Mass Events for National-Patriotic Education of the Donetsk Regional State Administration.
