October 27 marks the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language — a celebration that unites everyone who values the power of the word, the beauty of the native tongue, and the spiritual heritage of our people.
On this day, the staff of humanitarian hubs and centers, together with residents of Donetsk region who have relocated to safer areas of Ukraine, took part in the National Radio Dictation of Unity titled “One Must Live.”
The deep and inspiring words became a leitmotif of our shared resilience and faith in life despite all challenges.
This event was not just a test of language skills, but an expression of love for the Ukrainian word, and respect for our culture and history.
To celebrate Ukrainian Language and Literacy Day, a series of events promoting the Ukrainian language and culture were organized and held in the humanitarian hubs and centers. Among them were educational and interactive sessions such as “The Source of Ukrainian Language and Literacy,” “What Our Language Is Like,” “We Are Children of the Cossack Lineage: Taught to Love Our Native Language,” “Rainbow,” and “From Nestor to Modern Times.”
There were also literary and musical gatherings like “The Time of Ukrainian Song,” “Language Treasury,” “Our Melodious Language,” and “Literary Evenings.” Participants immersed themselves in the history of Ukrainian literacy, took part in language games and quizzes, watched educational videos, showcased their grammar knowledge, and read poetry by well-known Ukrainian authors.
Language is what unites us!
Ukrainian is the language of unity and resilience!
