Youth Day, which is celebrated on August 12, is a holiday that emphasizes the importance of the younger generation, its energy, potential and contribution to the development of society. It is a celebration of creativity, inspiration, energy and self-affirmation. It is dedicated not only to young people, but also to everyone who feels young at heart. Today, Ukrainian youth is a generation that is growing up in times of great challenges and changes.
On the occasion of the Youth Day, humanitarian hubs/centers established for residents of Donetsk Oblast in the safe regions of Ukraine hosted numerous events aimed at uniting, developing and supporting young people. Despite the challenges of the war, young people demonstrated their activity and concern by participating in various activities.
Children of Donetsk region joined the celebration of Youth Day in entertainment complexes, clubs and outdoors in an atmosphere of smiles, music and live communication, exciting entertainment programs, where they had fun on modern rides, tubing, trampolines and mazes, enjoyed delicious drinks, got stylish temporary tattoos and made bright friendship bracelets.
There were also entertainment events with educational and interactive games, lively and fun quizzes, dance battles, exciting board games, and the creation of a vibrant project called "The Image of a Ukrainian Woman."
The organized sports and entertainment events and festivities with friendly football matches, sports competitions, trampoline and jump rope jumping, tug-of-war, skateboarding, and campfire songs gave the children a sense of warmth, friendship, and mutual support that helped them escape from their daily problems and find new friends.
At the information events and communication meetings of the Good to Know program, which was held in the format of an open dialogue, the youth found out about the possibilities of obtaining housing. They discussed available grants for starting their own business, paid attention to the current labor market, and talked about legal and psychological assistance.
The locations hosted a series of workshops on Sea Horizons, painting of brightly colored shoppers, face art, and creation of designer toys, where participants revealed their creativity, ingenuity, and imagination.
Educational and entertaining events and quests "Together to the Future: Youth, Family, Welfare", "Young and Smart", "Roses of Your Self" with an interesting program, creative tasks, music and entertainment, good mood and pleasant surprises created a warm atmosphere of unity, joy and well-being.
Book exhibitions "Youth Chooses a Book", "We are the young flower of new Ukraine", "Read. Imagine. Create" were a great opportunity to remind us that reading is not only a way to spend leisure time, but also a path to self-development, creativity, and inspiration.
Youth Day is an opportunity to emphasize the important contribution of young people to the development of our region. Young people who are actively involved in the life of their communities today will become leaders tomorrow who will be able to rebuild and develop Donetsk Oblast.
