On September 21, the world celebrates the International Day of Peace. To mark this important date, the Donetsk Youth Palace "Yunost" initiated an online drawing competition "Peace through the Eyes of Children".
Young artists aged 5 to 17 from pre-school, out-of-school, general education, vocational and professional higher education institutions of the region took part.
The competition brought together 573 works from 45 educational institutions. The drawings were presented in four age categories, and each child's work became a separate story of peace, kindness and hope.
The activity was also felt in the online space: more than 3500 users of the Palace's website took part in the voting. They determined the main winner. The Grand Prix was awarded to Alisa Hryn, 9, a student of Gymnasium No. 2 of the Pokrovsk City Council in Donetsk Oblast.
Peace remains one of the most important topics for children. Through their art, young artists express their dream of a safe and happy Ukraine that has won.
And this dream will become a reality.
