Myrnohrad Hospital Resumes Work in Khmelnychchyna: Supporting the Facility After Relocation

Published 23 September 2025 year, 11:29

When hostilities critically approached Myrnohrad, the city hospital’s staff and its director, Olha Hostieva, faced a difficult task — to evacuate modern equipment and preserve the ability to provide medical care to people. Thanks to the efforts of local authorities, charitable organizations, and caring individuals, the hospital was relocated to the village of Orynin in Khmelnychchyna, where the premises of the former district hospital were renovated.

However, only one-fifth of the staff moved with the institution, which made staffing a pressing issue. The Employment Service played a key role in solving this problem, as the employer had previously actively cooperated with it in recruiting personnel. The search for specialists was broad — both among local residents and internally displaced persons.

Specialists of the Dobropillia-Myrnohrad Office of the Pokrovsk Branch of the Donetsk Regional Employment Center quickly joined the process and helped fill 25 vacancies for the employer. Importantly, many of the new employees are IDPs who gained the opportunity to continue their professional activity while also rebuilding their lives in a new place.

In addition, the employer is taking advantage of wage compensation programs for hiring IDPs. The hospital has already submitted the necessary documents to receive financial support. In the future, the team plans to further expand, primarily by hiring specialists from among displaced persons.

Today, Myrnohrad Hospital in Orynin is already receiving patients. Equipped offices, established communications, and comfortable conditions for treatment — all this has become possible thanks to the joint efforts of the community, healthcare workers, and partners. The team continues its main mission — to provide quality medical care and to grow even in times of serious challenges.

“This is not just a relocation, but a new beginning. We are once again close to our patients and ready to move forward,” said the hospital’s director, Olha Hostieva.
