For us, it’s important not only to provide social security but also to give people the chance to heal. Through simple things—communication, creativity, and the feeling of support nearby.
Eleven families took part. Together with experts from the Donetsk Regional Art Museum, they created pysanky, learned about traditions, but most importantly—found peace and a little quiet after what they’d been through.
Creativity works as therapy. It helps reduce tension, restore a sense of control, and feel part of the community again.
Similar initiatives are also taking place in communities across Donetsk Oblast—in over 100 hubs, people are engaging with traditions and supporting one another.
Supporting veterans and their families is not a one-time effort, but a systematic endeavor. And such initiatives yield tangible results.
We’re continuing our work.
