A forum titled “National Youth Policy: Priorities, Programs, Partnerships” was held in Kyiv, with the presentation of the State Program “Youth of Ukraine: Generation of Resilience – 2030” serving as its key event. Lilia Zolkina, Head of the Family and Youth Department of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, participated in the development of new mechanisms to support young people.
The event, initiated by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine in partnership with UNDP and ISAR “Yednannia,” brought together representatives of government, international organizations, and the civil society sector with a single goal: to create a viable model for youth development in the context of war and post-war recovery.
The program presented, which runs through 2030, is intended to serve as a solid foundation for young Ukrainians. For the Donetsk region, where young people are a model of resilience and patriotism, the implementation of these tools is of particular importance.
During the forum, the head of the Department of Family, Youth, and Mass Events for National-Patriotic Education of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, together with colleagues from other regions and representatives of youth centers, developed a roadmap for implementing the program at the regional level.
The case studies and new partnerships developed during the forum will be integrated into the updated youth programs of local communities in the Donetsk region. This will provide a new impetus for the development of initiatives aimed at supporting active youth, who are currently the main drivers of change in the region.
