Published 10 October 2025 year, 10:30

A meeting was held to discuss the organization and implementation of a one-time cash payment to orphans and children deprived of parental care who are being raised in families with guardians and trustees. The event was organized by the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine.

The event was attended by Deputy Head of Donetsk Oblast State Administration Oleksandr Shevchenko and representatives of the Oblast State Administration's Social Protection Department.

The meeting addressed a number of problematic issues that arise in the process of making this payment.

Donetsk Oblast has started paying one-time financial assistance to orphans and children deprived of parental care who are being brought up in families with guardians and caregivers. A total of 700 children will receive it. The payment is made automatically, without any applications from citizens, based on information from the databases of the State Enterprise "Information and Computer Center of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine".

The payment is made at the expense of humanitarian and other assistance to civilians under martial law in Ukraine. The funds were transferred by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). The amount of assistance is UAH 1,000 per child.

Donetsk Regional State Administration continues to work on strengthening the social protection of children in difficult life circumstances.
