This was reported by the Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration and Chief of the Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin.
The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center warns of hazardous weather conditions: on the night and morning of January 9, heavy rain mixed with wet snow is expected in Donetsk Region, with possible icy conditions on roads.
Municipal services and contractor organizations in the region have received the necessary instructions. If adverse weather conditions are confirmed, they will immediately begin clearing road surfaces and treating them with anti-icing materials — on both national and local roads, as well as municipal streets.
Road maintenance equipment is currently on standby to ensure rapid response to problem areas if needed.
We are keeping this issue under close control, but we also urge drivers to be especially cautious during these days.
