Published 12 June 2026 year, 09:16

On June 11, as part of the regional platform “Dialogue Between Government and Business,” established at the direction of the President of Ukraine, an online meeting was held between business representatives and government officials from the Donetsk region. Over 110 participants joined the event.

During the meeting, participants discussed government programs to support entrepreneurship, including grant funding implemented with the assistance of the employment service, as well as opportunities to support veterans, their family members, and the families of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine.

Kateryna Ponomarenko, Head of the Project Implementation Department of the Financial Management Division at the Donetsk Regional Employment Center, addressed the issue of grant funding. Artur Nasibyan, Head of the Department for Veterans’ Policy at the Donetsk Regional State Administration, spoke about state support for veterans, their family members, and the families of fallen Defenders of Ukraine.

Participants were presented with current grant programs for starting and developing their own businesses, the conditions for receiving microgrants, as well as mechanisms for supporting employers and entrepreneurs through state employment promotion tools.

Special attention was given to the implementation of veteran policies in the Donetsk region. The discussion focused on educational opportunities for veterans and their family members, vocational rehabilitation programs, retraining and professional development, government support for veteran-owned businesses, grant programs offered by the Ukrainian Veterans Fund, and other tools for starting a business. Participants were also informed about opportunities for rehabilitation, spa and resort treatment, social support, and digital services that help veterans access necessary services.

During the event, business representatives also received explanations regarding existing support programs and practical recommendations on using government tools to develop entrepreneurial activities and support veterans in the workplace.
