The Donetsk Regional Museum of Local History held another meeting in the “Coffee and the Museum” series on the topic “The Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools in Museum Work.”

The speaker at the meeting was Olga Vashevska, a leading artist at the Ivan Honchar Museum National Center for Folk Culture and the National Museum of the Revolution of Dignity, and a graduate of the “Neural Networks for Designers” training program supported by House of Europe.

During the event, which was attended by museum staff, the discussion covered both the challenges of applying artificial intelligence tools in professional practice for creating and editing images and videos, as well as the opportunities for their use in museum communication, design, and the promotion of cultural heritage. In addition, participants discussed the ethical boundaries of using artificial intelligence in scientific work, as well as the potential of these technologies for fostering inclusivity in museums.

The event will contribute to deepening knowledge regarding the preservation of cultural heritage in the face of modern challenges, while maintaining the human element and the authenticity of museum work.

The organizers thank the speaker for her openness to dialogue and her expert coverage of this important contemporary topic.
