Tetyana Strebizh and Nataliia Vasylkivska, instructors at the Sloviansk Vocational College of Industry and Pharmacy, conducted an interactive career guidance and educational event titled “How to Protect Yourself in Cyberspace” at the “MiRazom” Support Center for Internally Displaced Persons in the Kramatorsk District, located in Dnipro.

The meeting was attended by ninth-grade students who are internally displaced persons, college administrators, and Center staff. The purpose of the event was to discuss the historical stages of the educational institution’s development, its programs of study, and the specifics of admission to the college in 2026. However, the main focus of the event revolved around the responsible use of information technology by children and youth.

At the beginning of the meeting, the hosts and participants created a “digital self-portrait” of the audience, discussed how to build “digital armor” for our resources, and successfully completed the “Cyber Sprint” workshop. The focus for the young audience was on recognizing deepfakes and digital illusions.

Meeting participants actively engaged with the facilitators, shared insightful opinions, and took part in interactive activities. At the end of the event, conclusions were drawn: a safe Internet begins not only with settings or antivirus software, but with one’s own responsible attitude toward the use of digital technologies, the ability to recognize cyber threats, and the capacity to counter destructive content.
