Deputy Heads of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Igor Boiko and Alexander Shevchenko took part in a meeting of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and conduct of physical culture and health events and competitions "Side by Side -Plich All-Ukrainian School Leagues" among students of general secondary education institutions in the 2025-2026 academic year under the slogan "TOGETHER WE WILL WIN."
During the meeting, they discussed the progress of the second stage of the physical education and health events and competitions "Side by Side All-Ukrainian School Leagues," as well as the organizational aspects of the further implementation of the project in the communities of the region.
Ihor Boiko emphasized that in the 2025–2026 academic year, students will be offered 12 sports. In addition to futsal, volleyball, basketball, cheerleading, orienteering, rugby-5, and handball, which were presented last season, five more sports have been added to the list: 3x3 basketball, biathlon, athletics, table tennis, and chess.
He emphasized that the expansion of the sports program will help attract more children to an active lifestyle and foster team spirit, endurance, and leadership qualities.
