This was the main topic of his meeting with Munir Mammadzade, Head of the UNICEF Office in Ukraine.

In 2025, UNICEF allocated more than $14 million to restore water supply systems, support critical infrastructure operations, provide cash assistance to families with children, assist evacuees, and expand mental health services.

This support has meant water access for hundreds of thousands of people, assistance for thousands of families in frontline communities, and the operation of children’s hubs and mobile teams providing individualized family support.

The parties also discussed current priorities: energy resilience, preparation for possible blackouts, support for internally displaced persons, maintaining “Points of Invincibility,” and ensuring people’s basic needs during the winter period.

Mr. Mammadzade noted that this year UNICEF plans to allocate $11.8 million for the needs of Donetsk region, including $2.5 million specifically for the winter response.

“I thank UNICEF for its continued attention — we value the solidarity of our partners.

We are working together to ensure that even in the most difficult conditions, people have water, warmth, and support,” Vadym Filashkin emphasized.
