In Donetsk region, with the participation of Deputy Heads of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Igor Boyko and Oleksandr Shevchenko, a meeting of the evacuation headquarters was held to discuss the issues of strengthening cooperation between services and organizations involved in the evacuation of the population.

In particular, the meeting discussed the organization of interaction between the call center for evacuation of the Donetsk Military District Administration, community hotlines, the Humanitarian Coordination Center and other NGOs involved in the evacuation process.

Representatives of the military administrations reported on the security situation in the communities and plans for the evacuation of civilians. They also discussed problematic issues that arise during the evacuation process and ways to solve them. In particular, they talked about the need to open additional transit hubs in communities where the security situation allows it.

Ihor Boyko emphasized that the next stage of forced evacuation of children with their parents or other legal representatives from 5 settlements of Donetsk region, where as of August 12, a total of 1879 children remained, begins on August 15.

Mr. Shevchenko noted that a transit center in Pavlohrad is currently operating to carry out evacuation activities. On average, 300 to 400 people use the services of the transit center every day. Over 20,000 people have used the center's services since its opening. All of them were resettled in safer regions of Ukraine.

The deputy head of the region also added that in order to achieve maximum results and avoid duplication of functions, it is necessary to ensure clear and coordinated interaction between the evacuation call center of the regional military administration, community hotlines, the Humanitarian Coordination Center and NGOs involved in evacuation activities.

Following the meeting, the relevant instructions were given to resolve problematic issues and strengthen cooperation between all participants involved in the evacuation process.
