On August 14, specialists from DTEK Donetsk Electric Grids, with permission from the military, were able to reach and repair a number of damaged network sections. This made it possible to restore electricity supply to 5 settlements that had been cut off due to shelling. Homes of 11,000 local families now have power again. The company’s specialists are doing everything possible to restore electricity in the region as soon as the situation allows and the military grants permission for repair work.
Heavy fighting continues in Donetsk region, along with constant shelling of populated areas. Despite the extremely difficult situation, yesterday DTEK Donetsk Electric Grids’ emergency crews managed to carry out repairs in 5 settlements of the region. Power supply was restored to 11,058 households that had been left without electricity due to shelling.
DTEK Donetsk Electric Grids specialists have been working continuously for 1,269 days and will continue restoration efforts as soon as the situation and the military permit. Power engineers will bring light back to every home in the region as soon as the Armed Forces of Ukraine give the go-ahead for repairs.
