A working meeting was held in Donetsk Oblast on the organization and conduct of the evacuation of civilians from frontline areas.
The event was attended by the deputy head of the regional military administration, Ihor Boiko, heads of structural units of the regional state administration, representatives of law enforcement agencies, local self-government bodies, and humanitarian organizations.
During the meeting, they discussed the work of the assembly point for evacuation on the border between Kharkiv and Donetsk regions, problematic issues related to the evacuation of the population, the security situation in the region and risks to the civilian population, improving the algorithms of interaction between local authorities, volunteers and rescue services, logistics and transport for the evacuation of people, and the arrangement of temporary accommodation for evacuees.
Ihor Boiko stressed that the main task of the authorities remains to preserve the lives and health of the residents of Donetsk region, and that effective coordination of all services is the key to successful evacuation measures.
Following the meeting, decisions were made to strengthen communication with communities, expand opportunities for informing the population, and respond promptly to security-related challenges.
