This was reported by Vadym Filashkin, Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration and Chief of the Regional Military Administration.
In accordance with the President of Ukraine’s directive on launching the 2025–2026 heating season, heating is now being gradually started in those communities of Donetsk region where the security situation permits.
To address this matter, the head of the region held a meeting with the heads of relevant structural units of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, utility companies, and local community leaders.
“Unfortunately, due to active hostilities, destruction, and significant damage to infrastructure facilities, it is impossible to provide centralized heating in a number of communities.
Residents of these settlements are being assisted with stoves, wood-burning heaters, and everything necessary to get through the heating period under martial law.
I also emphasized the importance of ensuring heating and electricity in the Points of Invincibility across the region.
Currently, 66 Points of Invincibility are operating around the clock, ready to accommodate people in need of assistance.
